Ban on blogs - how crazy can you get?

Is the Indian government nuts or what???? Under the pretext of 'advanced security against terrorists', they've gone and blocked blogspot and most other major blogs....trust them to concentrate on info like this. We won't go spruce up our intelligence services, will we - oh no, that would take a helluva lot of money. What we WILL do is curtail the freedom of expression in the country. VERY smooth, I'm sure. Which is why (harmless) people like me in India can't access blogspot AT ALL. And are they really thick enough to believe that a terrorist blog would be as public as one on blogspot? Yes, why not? Maybe they believe that the About Me column under Profile will read something like :'Hi, I'm a terrorist with the (insert name of random terrorist organization) and plan to blow up a prominent city in (insert name of random country) in the next few months'. I wonder who their advisor regarding cyber threats is?

Anyway, the only outcome of this is that I'm finally thinking seriously about moving my blog to livejournal. And if I do, you guys'll definitely know.
